In a spare-room corner, no larger than a the back seat of an old Volkswagen bug and surrounded by stored paintings, Dover writes lyrics, composes melodies, and records them on CD. His music studio includes the guitar, a few drums and a four-channel mixer.

His sound is comprised of clean vocal harmonies (some say reminiscent of John Lennon) overlaid on acoustic self-accompaniment.
